Ospreay's match with Shingo is IMO MOTY. His matches with Okada (definitely) and 1 or both with Ibushi (probably) are better than this as well. He has had an incredible year.
I have never said that he is the best wrestler; just that he has had an incredible year when it comes to match quality. Moreover, everybody has different opinions to what wrestling should be. Plus, wrestling is evolving all the time. E.g. I think Suzuki Minoru is the greatest of all time (since he was brought back 50s style hard-hitting wrestling (not the dramatic soft-hitting, over-selling one) and mixed it intelligently with MMA and always kept it very real without hurting anyone). May be we should change our perception of wrestling because MMA has made it abundantly clear what's real and what's fake. Ric Flair (with his over-selling) will look like a comedian today.

I'm glad that this and the tag match against Bullet Club were my first Amazing Red matches. I wish Red had won this one, though. I also wish this wasn't separately recorded commentary and from the time where NJPW would mute Ospreay's theme music.

I searched Amazing Reds age out of curiosity and wiki has him listed at 5'4?! I grew up watching him and Bro, i swear to God I thought Red was like 5'10. Never once viewed him as short and judging by the spectators reaction to this match, no one notices his height either. Further search had me find that Rey is actually around 5'2? They both wrestled and Red had some height over him, I'm not bashing either men. Being latino, and not average height, like them, this is encouraging me to sign up for a school holy sht
Me wouldn`t call this a (too) great "wrestling match". But i think it`s the chemistry and charisma of them both, that gave it something special and the atmosphere and fans (for which i think you had to be there live). That step-up backflip ddt (or how it´s named) from Amazing Red looked awesome by the way.
